I'm looking to buy some lightweight tyres, 1.75 on the back and 2.0 up on the front.I'm very much a put a pair of tyres on and then take them off when they are bald kind of guy, so long lasting no sticky compounds.Currently I have a high roller up front and panaracer something fire? on the back seems to work ok but I think I'd like a little more grip up back and a similar amount up front, though I not the HR only down fall is it's slippery on the root (but aren't they all) Cheers you bunch of fags

s' OK, tried Nobby Nics?  They're not bad, though I don't like 'em up front.

No I nearly bought some off DK but for whatever reason didn't now my rears getting down to the living end and want to gt something a little nice.Really I quite happy with the fire I think it is but it wore down way too fast (nearly a whole year)  the HR is ok but it's possibly waaay to heavy (steel beaded 2.5) and a bit of over kill but it's relict from my rigid experiment and I needed a massive volume tyre to sap up the buzz

try downhilling on 1.8's...makes for some interesting riding i tell thee2.1 conti's, if you want something nippy and fairly long lastingspecialized's skinny mud tyres aren't so bad, but their xc race tyres are shockingly poor! avoid.

I've got a pair of steel bead Fire XC pro 1.8's in the garage somewhere if you want them (and I can find them).  I did have a big tyre clearout a while back but there may be some others.  Seem to recall there's a Trailblaster or two & maybe even some Conti Vapor Pro-tection 2.1's?Interested in any of those?

what dk said (about the freds), or if you ride around fields.if i were you, i'd nick Nobby's conti' vapours, they make great rear tyres, then sort out something like a explorer for the front
