    A day of ups and downs.

    The down was this morning when I went to put on some new trousers which I bought whilst I've been crocked. I've been a 32" waist since forever, until this 10 week lay off. I had the choice of doing them up or breathing, so back into some old jeans .

    The up is that I've just got back from riding my bike. The last time I rode a bike was Jan 1st so it is about bloody time .

    Thing is my right leg is still fairly strong, but the left leg isn't. The overall effect was as though I was riding with the worlds oddest Bio-Pace chainring .

    Know the feeling Nick, my crocked knee feels stiff in the cold and pedaling doesn't feel completely right yet. Though last time I was able to fit a 32" pair of jeans was circa 1995... your lay up due to dodgy knee?

    Ouch! - skiing, skating are something to avoid if you have dodgy knees, cycling thankfully is lower impact - unless you are a dh / dirt jumping nut job.

    Get well soon chap! Might have to organise a bm ride for gimpy or crocked cyclists somewhere nice and flat...

    Arse... Appraisals have been around, checked the van, thankfully he knew about campers and the new interior and that the paper value is worth not a lot in these cases.

    So he's going to repair the front end!

    Bad news is that they can't take it away for another couple of weeks. No camper van for easter holidays :-(
