    >>Any idea of conditions down at Glentress? Not sure, didnt get out this weekend, weather at Glentress always significantly colder than Edinburgh. so could conceivably have been total snow locked.anyone get out there this weekend?

Snow and plenty of it!Not in Edinburgh obviously, but was up at Aviemore today on t'snowboard. Was greatly impressed by the snow conditions. Amoungst the best i have ever seen for Scottish snow. shame about the biting wind and bad visibility, but its the highlands, not the Alps, Scottish boarding is always going to be a little more old hardcore school. I wonder if we will actually get a proper snow season this year in Scotland!

Strangely dry and warm at 12am. Didn't even wear gloves. Ground was a bit wet though

chilly, windy, icy and snowy in them thar hills today! Glad i took the day off. There is something greatly satisfying about being responsible for the only tyre marks that you can see anywhere.

Edinburgh.Beautiful day today. I had the day off and picked well. Perfect blue sky, sunshine, not too windy. Textbook Winter's ride. A fitting last ride for my S-works Epic, which as my other threads today mention, has gone to frameset heaven this day.I took today off cos Metcheck said it was going to be a grand day. They were right. In fact magic seaweed were right about the surf on Saturday too. Maybe there is usefulness to be found on this ere internet

Oi, who nicked winter? I'd like it back please.Shorts and a (BM) T-shirt yesterday and the Col de la Marie Blanque today without even putting on the jacket for the descent. 18°C in Pau this afternoon. :-/ Apart from the ribbons of artificial snow there's almost nothing left below 1800m in Gourette.
