Seeing as I have a amateur radio licence I have decided to work on an audio system for better transmit audio from the microphone and into the radio.
I made a cheap rack unit and so far have a behringer composer pro 2200 and a TC Helicon.
If there are any audiophiles out there would a DI preamp box work instead of a W2IHY ibox to match the mic levels so I can interface the audio equipment to the radio.
I don't fanncy spending £90 on the ibox if a DI/ mic preamp would work for cheaper.
Use this instead
I have a couple of those leeds Dale, the problem is matching the radio to line levels or something as the audio chips are quite sensitive in HF amatuer gear and could possibly blow the PA amps within the radio.
alright LG, you well ? Been mostly running up those hills just like Kate B, well coughing my way up and then running down. Oh and working, lots and lots of working.
Trying to get out on the old...
'ow do, Gav. Been up to much?
Evening to all my most bodacious chums.
Well, as promised - I've been out a couple of times, and even went on that off road thingy the kids all talk about.
It was well rad.
Nowt quite like starting a woodburner thread on t'other channel. :-)
It's for real, mind, no trolling.
