Seeing as I have a amateur radio licence I have decided to work on an audio system for better transmit audio from the microphone and into the radio.
I made a cheap rack unit and so far have a behringer composer pro 2200 and a TC Helicon.
If there are any audiophiles out there would a DI preamp box work instead of a W2IHY ibox to match the mic levels so I can interface the audio equipment to the radio.
I don't fanncy spending £90 on the ibox if a DI/ mic preamp would work for cheaper.
Use this instead
I have a couple of those leeds Dale, the problem is matching the radio to line levels or something as the audio chips are quite sensitive in HF amatuer gear and could possibly blow the PA amps within the radio.
It's been about four and a half years since I last posted on BM. No wonder it's changed.
Hi is apparently too short a message to post, so instead of simply saying a brief hello I'm forced to type out a longer message.
Hello. I know it's been quite a while, but I thought I'd pop in to see if any of the old crowd are still here. Nice to see a couple of names I remember. Hope you're all well :-)
See you there
