(probably not going to be ready for sunday though, which is a PITA)
The offer's still on. If you can get me the bits and bobs I can put it together in about three hours or so. I have some brand new Odi Rogues going spare. I have stems and bars but the stems will be for 25.4mm clamp and the bars will be far too narrow for you, so you'd still be fucked on that count.

    Have you mailed Mr. Evans...?

Cheers, everything is in the shop now though, and there'll be a few parts extra needed that'll be easier for them to just put on. I'm not convinced my brake hoses will be long enough and it'll be a new headset and one of those praxis BB's so I'm just going to let them get on with it. If it comes to it I can quickly reassemble the Soda on Saturday. Rigid hardtail should be interesting around there

I'm missing the tour 'd Essex for this. It'd be better entertaining.

*pays lbs to ensure Alx gets his bike in time for us to point and laugh*

You probably recall the time I brought my hybrid thing along instead of a proper MTB. Aside from the fact the skinny 32mm tyres were totally inappropriate and the geometry not suited to the terrain, the whole bike seemed to beat me to shit on every stretch which only got worse as the day went on - my wrists and palms were stuffed at the end. I'd not do it again. You should be better off with the fatter tyres etc. but it's still not going to be easy - rather you than me.

Will you SHUT UP?!!? I've not ridden MTB since November and haven't been on a club ride since May. These fucking shifts are doing my nut in.

Tonights ride was not that enjoyable, a fall involving nettles. 45 minutes of balls out riding.

Why were your balls out? Had the nettles stung them?

A landslide, had three rides in a week, might manage a fourth tonight.
Le Tour in Yorkshire has reinvigorated my interest in this old sport. Gonna do the Cote de Blubberhouses etc in the coming weeks.
