Must be 29er bite back week, I'm nursing a forearm length road rash and a torn castelli jersey after snapping a sun ringlé skewer and the rear wheel falling out doing turning drills in the Newnham car park

Saw this in the flesh the other day. It was quite nice.

It's nice to see the shops selling off their outdated stock isn't it.

Looks like 29" wheels really were the mtbing equivalent of Betamax.

I had a look at one too and, yes, they are very nice.

Unfortunately I also saw a Liteville 301 which appears to be a master class in engineering and stunning in ano black.

Ah but Betamax was much better quality than VHS, though. The Crack n'Fail Betamax was quite a revelation, today - rode lovely over the rocks of Potato Alley in t'Peaks . The Spesh tyre combo of Purgatory (fr)/Ground Control (r) were confidence inspiring too.

It was "spot the 26er" where I was racing today. I say racing, if you call 98th of 137 "racing"...

    That'll teach me to take a 26" FS to a 29er fight.

No 280m in 2h. And what's worse I felt I rode well, only a few "pro" types going past me and I passed plenty of people. The biggest mistake I made was to get there late and start at the back of the pack, and miss the 2h cut of for a 4th lap, which would have elevated me 15 places no matter how long I took.

Not sue if you know Thetford DM but it's flat singletrack constant pedalling with a lot of "rollers" - I think the rear end was being sucked in caused some chain growth too. Shoulda take the other bike.
