Alternative forums to Bike Magic
Lets not beat around the bush...this place died.
Did everyone just vanish off to Singletrackworld?

actually i think most forums have died, ie there are just lots of them, so people have spread around.
Also lots of people now use facebook / twitter etc. i think its just not a huge part of peoples live now to spend there day popping in and out of a forum.
Have a look at the Dirt Forum, has not had the same issues as BMs one, but its totally dead, makes us look very active, but the magazine and website does well without one.
Ultimatly forums make no money for website, its add clicks and pages accessed by users. and some forum members never even look at the front page.
I know that singletrack is still very active, but its a very flat membership, ie they are almost all male, white between 35 and 50, but where are all the younger riders, i just do not think they are into forums, its to oldschool.

Facespace and twatter have been the death of Forums. Now you can easily post your brain farts on your own page...
I only pop in once in a while now to take a peak. Also most of us thaat post on here now pretty much have been into this cycling lark for years so don't really need to go and ask advice and start 'What tryres for...' threads.

I used to be on here often. I just got out of the habit. jumped in recently for some help with a technical question. helpful advice was received. I don't post on Singletrack world. although I do subscribe to the magazine. I tend not to internet during working hours. at home facebook is easier, as use iphone app. done really turn the pc on at home often. so there you go.

First time browsing on here for a year or so, used to be a regular. Lost interest when MPORA took over, went over to Bike Radar and Commencal user forum (the latter has really died) then discovered a few other sports although still ride a bit.

I find mtbe.co.uk is pretty busy but a different 'member base' than this place...
Bikeradar is just too busy to be personal at all and my 'old' uk-mtb.com has also slowed a lot, like this place.
I tend to not post much online now as you guys are usually asleep when I do get the chance and there's too much delay for any real banter.
I still like to keep an eye on the old place though (UK & this forum).
