    *I had a nasty incident when I was little with my finger in a deckchair. Nail went black straight away, much yelling from me I'm told. That night my folks came in with a pair of pliers and took it off whilst I was asleep, I didn't even wake up

    I suppose it depends on how good its attached or not,maybe a soak int bath then give it a try,more likely to catch it if it dangling off.
