Love the way Sean Kelly referred to I as a clear win.

    BBC news

...high hopes of placing Britain's David Millar in the yellow jersey.
But they could only finish sixth, 17 seconds behind Orica, and Millar blamed himself."I wasn't in good form but the team was very, very strong,'' the 36-year-old Millar said. "I think it was me who was missing the seconds."

Don't you mean "I think it was me who was missing the EPO." David?

    Shame about Ted King.

Well, the wheels came off the Sky train last night didn't they.

Luckily Froome stood up to the test but that can't have been easy.

    Great ride by Daniel Martin.

That's exactly what he made it look like whilst apparently "having the worst day of his life on a bike" look at him compared to all of those around him who are clearly blowing chunks of lungs up as he looks like he's out having a club ride!

The armchair jury's out but it just looked funny.

    Cav's tweet of the day....

@MarkCavendish: Can all sprint experts on twitter go & try flicking their bike right at 65kph without leaning your body left to balance & come back to me.

Just watched the BBC bit where he's shown having a ding dong with reporters.

Missed the race as I was watching live until about 10km out when I had to go pick the missus up and take the family down the beach for tea :-(

Bleurrgh...Just tolerated Phil Ligget for 3 minutes to watch the replay... How was that Cavendish's fault?

As Boardman said, Cav really shouldn't do interviews stright after the race, he's far too emotional.

As soon as he stepped off the bus he was like 'which one of you fcukers is going to ask me about how I took someone out?'.....really really defensive.

Not really sure how he got away with it as although he was responding to the guy drifting right, it was a very aggressive move. gotta love him!

Half a dozen eggs of one 50% of the other.

They both hit and Cav is clearly the stronger of the two...in MotoGP this would be racing is racing think nothing more of it.

Cav came out looking like a bit of a cock because for some reason Omega Pharma haven't got a PR agent doing their job somehwere...the PR agent should be a 7 foot tall massive black brick shithouse of a fella who just says "you're staying in the bus, sit the fuck down and shut up"

I think it's his scouse accent that makes him come across as a bit of a cock get rid of the accent and he'll do better in interviews :-).

FFS why would Cav have a scouse accent ? That's a Manx accent , nothing like scouse .

    No, it really really is.

You might like to think it sounds different but really it's just sounds like 'scouse lad did well" / the sort of accent you might hear on the Wirral.

Defensive.....it would have been if it had occurred a second or two earlier, but matey had moved right and then straightened....leaving Cav plenty of room to avoid him on the right. As for the road bearing left, it does, but not there!

Glad he got away with it, but his reaction at the end said it all for me......he knew he was guilty!
