It was a customer only 1 which goes up 0.1% everytime a golfist wins something.

It's only worth over paying your mortgage if it's more than the best savings rate. Whilst seemingly obvious, mine is 2.49% and until recently I could better this -however now the best savings rate are basically laughable.
Not quite? Mortgage interest is compound per annum, so if you pay off 50 now you don't just save 50 plus 2.49%, its 50 plus 2.49% + 2.49% etc for 25 x 12 months. For example I paid an extra 1000 last year which saved 2304 in total.

Aye, but bank interest is compounded as well. (if you leave it alone)

If your mortage was at 2.5% and savings interest was at 3% and didn't change for 20 years, then 1000 pounds into the savings account will have accumulated more at the end of the 20 years than the equivalent 1000 'saving' off your mortgage.

Hmm...I spent 8 on my lunch yesterday.

The missus is out tonight so I'm having to make my own tea, I'm getting a peppered steak from the butchers which will be approx 12, and a couple of bottles of red, say another 12.

    :-/

    Pah, it's only money...

My missus is out tonight. She's left me a pan of home made veg soup and a loaf of home made sundried tomato bread plus a selection of cheeses.

What a poor show. Seem like you need to have a stern word her for only prividing a starter and the cheese course. Where's the main ffs?

Edit: loaf? Has she not even sliced it?

This is terrible. I try my hardest to consume a mere gallon of Doom Bar but it turns out that I ran out of funds an entire pint short of target. :-/

Don't slice bread it keeps fresher in the middle for longer.

I'm currently trying to get my yeast starter back to life again after a weekend away and a week of the shits...sort of forgot to feed it, and it's a little unwell...we had to resort to buying shop baked bread this week...tastes so bloody horrible and sweet Bleeurgh.

Tonight I have a bottle of Sirah, a Flake and Cycling weekly...I might even watch the the FormulaOnedetards practising. See which ones are spitting their dummies out over being overtaken - in a race - this time!

We are having "meat surprise" for tea tomorrow. No, it's nothing kinky, it's what you get when you get a load of different meat from the butcher and somebody (Mr Ridcully) puts it all in the freezer without looking to see what any of it is... so we'll find out what's for tea when it's defrosted!
