Don't you just love it when...

...you get your mates into cycling?

One of my friends in particular has only been into cycling for around 18mths, and he has bought four bikes, about to buy a 5th, which is excellent progress by any standard.

It's interesting seeing them going through the same phases that we all have, the lusting after bits and bikes, the wife/partner going mental/threatening divorce and complaining about it when we disappear for 6 hours on a saturday when we should be putting shelves up or fixing the washing machine.

To be fair, the lad's a natural, very strong rider

Yeah, amusing seeing their increasing lust.

One chap that started last year was actually quite put-out that the missus kept overtaking him on the descents. We laughed... a lot.

Why, so he can reclaim his masculinity. But seriously, it's on the cards, probably so he doesn't have to go through the nagging for being missing on a Saturday afternoon for 6 hours...

Watch out. As I found out yesterday, wiggle have rebranded the OUTSIDE of thier boxes in a very fetching yet also very obvious way.

I was forced to give up the Haribo!

I no longer hide purchases from the missus. Mainly because these days I just buy stuff when I need it, rather than just because I want something and she's fine with that.
Though I do sometimes ahem, lower the price of some things, such as the Bont shoes I bought recently :-/

My Bikeshop were kind enough to give me a Syncros box to put my new ENVE bars in :-)

Hmm...not sure they fit, just about to try them again, I've ordered a size larger than I normally would (as instructed on Sigma Sport website). Plenty of room for my big toe but I have a freaky long middle toe which could do with a bit lopping off. Chainsaw?

Speaking of getting people into cycling, hoping to get Mrs DK out on 'her' road bike today, bought last April, she's ridden it twice

She refuses to use clipless until she's comfortable on the roadie so it has massive MTB pedals on it!

Her refusal to adhere to the Rules is most infuriating!
