Are you interested in joining us, Serge...?

We're looking at doing it in a day at present, but all agree that the weather has to be on our side if it's to go ahead. I mean, I'm all-up for man-against-the-elements, teeth-gritting gung-hoism, but I think morale cold get seriously dented if you start the day at 4 or 5am and it's pissing it down.

    Not my idea of fun...

Of the T and J variety, in particular...

Ridgeway is a long ride, and the climbing is not in massive chunks but there is barely a flat bit on the route.

anyway could be up for it

    When is it?

I could be up for this - could be good prep for BORS (or a reason to cancel my entry)

It sounds like a very nice ride if there's tea and jam on route

It's on my 'to do' list so I may be up for it depending on date.

We were thinking of somewhere around the end of June, but obviously not that bloody Solstice shit as there'll be too many hippie-types wandering aimlessly along the paths. An open schedule, really, so speak-up if you want a specific date/time.

Well...yes. There's not enough time given to hedonistic activities on group rides IMO...

It isn't as easy as it seems, apparently. A few guys (some of them XC racing whippets) attempted it and caned the first leg from Ivinghoe to Watlington. Matt reckons they totally stuffed it as a result and should've paced it over what turned out to be the roughest section of the ride.

ridgeway really depends on weather, alot of it is now nolonger open to the 4x4 gang, but some sections are and along with tractors who still have the use, plus loads of horses it can be dire. plus alot is rutted so carrying speed is difficult.

Its been proven time and again that when you northerns visit the Southern "flatlands" you can't finish the rides.

Give up now before you embarrass yourself.

Simple solution - ride it both ways, or would that be too hard?
