Bike Magic Forest of dean ride, any possibility

To welcome our new evil overlords, and as they actually are based somehwere with riding, unlike dave, (london) or ex Mike (end of a phone line) what would be the possibility of BM picking a date when we could do a mass ride, maybe look at some new kit as well type thing. do it mid week so people can take the day off, or weekend if its shouted down.

Just an idea as i would hope you know where all the good bits of the forest of dean are.

    anyone got feelings on this.

Happy to. Good luck organising it, IME 50% of all on or off forum rides fall to pieces because the organiser gives up*.

*I'm not implying you will BTW....

You forgot Woburn Sands (2006?)!! As for 'mass', nowadays that's probably most apt as we all (well, most of us) seem to be growing around the middle somewhat... I'd happily show you guys around my local trails, if you can pop over during the break? We'll have our annual New Year's Day ride again and that attracts anywhere from 15-30 riders - a proper 'mass' ride!

I've been on a few that were good!!

It's been a while though, this has got to be my first long in for well over a year so i may have missed a few crap ones!!

This sounds like a great idea Serge, let's set a date to aim for. Some time in January? It'd be great to meet up with some of the BM riders and get your views on the site, content etc (this bit would be done in the BM conference room (pub)).

And above all it'd be good to go out and get stinking cold, wet and covered in sh*te at the FOD! If anyone hasn't ridden there recently then prepare to be surprised.

    Thanks,

    JM

Towards the end of the month, always think a friday is best for people, makes a long weekend, but the traffic is heavier.
How about the friday 25th or anytime the next week, i am flexible.

    So who is actually interested?

Subject to work, I'm up for it and have a spare place for a bike / person from the top of the M25 and along the M4 if anyone needs a lift.

I'll try and come along if it goes ahead, haven't been off road on the bike in quite some time so it should be pretty comical on my behalf.
