We were sitting in Pi yesterday, enjoying a pie and a pint and just happened to notice the price of christmas trees in the shop next door - £40 for a 4ft tree!
Is this normal, or is it just because we were in Chorlton and it was probably an organic/vegan/free-range/sustainable/hugged tree?
Not necessarily - it depends upon the quality. Tesco's sells trees for both less and more than that. The trouble is that a Xmas tree is such an infrequent buy, it always comes as a shock when you have to buy another 15 years later after inflation has taken its toll.
