    any good floods.

had to drive through one that was around 50 foot by 1 foot deep.

Made it but only did it because of the massive lorry behind me who would not let me turn around.

tell you a ford focus is much more of a concern then our old landrover discovery!

and then this morning had to drive through a worse flood, was only about an inch deep, but was from a slurry pit that had flooded, NASTY!!

Its shockingly over than annual average here in the SE, with at least 0.005mm of dampness on the roads.

I even got damp calves after riding out with shorts on today!

Pretty tame here but 50miles to the West mind, serious flooding going down.

Interesting drive home from work last night.

Never had a bow-wave in front of the car before!

Helped friends move house the last couple of days, the previous heavy rain up this way created a nice flood at the far end of Laneham (home of the Springhead Brewery).

It stretched 100m and then went out of sight, halfway up the national speed limit sign, marker posts reckoned it was 3' deep - luckily no big lorry behind me in my old Focus meant I could go home a different way

Just had a phone call from a mate who lives nearer the Trent than me. The drains are brimming and the bogs don't flush away as there is nowhere for the water to go

Makes my first floor flat seem a very good idea

My eldest was staying at my sisters house in Buckfastleigh, it got a trifle damp. 4ft of water passing by fortunately its up some 4ft 1 inch steps to the front door.
Cellar filled up and you could hear boulders wacking the house.

Yep. The army have been round and put sandbags around their doors just in case.
