    Use flat pedals?

Interested to know who hear uses flat pedals? Anyone?

Been getting back into them recently (partly because I've signed up to do the Mega) and blimey, it takes a while to get used to them after so long on SPDs.

Been using the new Nukeproof Neutron pedals

Me, but I'm only a girl so would my opinion on them count? DMR V8s or 12s, for the record.

Never used SPD's - do have old skool toe clips though on my flats. Do have a set of half flat/half spd somewhere and some cycling shoes but haven't been tempted. A lot of my stuff though was mountain approach or required a fair amount of on/off stuff so I'm quite often wearing hill boots, trail shoes.

(I do realise there are mountain specific SPD shoes but never fancied them)

And speaking for the rest of us, we are all over 18. Enough said.

MGO keeps threatening to teach me how to ride "properly" with "proper" pedals.
He currently favours Spank flats but reckons you can't beat Wellgo B25's for value/performance.

I've some Wellgos on the 456 at the minute & really don't get on with 'em for any 'proper' riding - then again, that bike only really gets used for pootling with Jr these days.

Why would you bother unless you're doing the more extreme stuff and by that I mean dirt jump, downhill etc
