    "Poor student" needs mtb hardtail

MGO needs a servicable hardtail, as cheeeeeap as possible.

He'll be transfering the forks (100mm) from his jump bike, has the bars, stem and rear disc brake (Hope Mono mini), a saddle and a 26" rear wheel.

Needs a frame - Inbred/456/Hardrock/Rockhopper sort of thing
    20mm bolt through front wheel
    Crankset (Deore/SLXish) - I'm donating a XT B/B
    Seatpost
    Front disc brake

Has a bit of cash, an Atomlab GI jump frame and some 24" wheels to trade but, unfortunately, no spare body parts as I sold them in order to pay for my Scott Spark.

Please check your sheds/garages etc and see what you've got.
    Ta.

I've an SLX chainset that's worn but servicable other than one of the pinch bolts is twatted. Couple of spare rings for it too.

Not sure if there's owt else out there as I gave a load of stuff away last year to clear some space. Will have a look later.

G man - see your PM about a bike frame.

    I have a Mavic 719 with Hope
pro 2 - 50 to you, or 60 with the Conti Vert & tube thats already on it.

I also have a Hayes Hfx 9 with rotor. The piston is seized, you just need to be able to clean / sort it. If you buy the rest I'll be happt to stick that in the box, f.o.c. but for for a straight swap for a fork box

Thanks folks - I'll get MGO to have a look-see.

William - the Apple sticker may swing it.

    Stan - YGM

BTW, preferred frame size would be 18" as the bugger is nearly as tall as me but would like a smaller frame to chuck about.

You have mail regarding this, also. Obviously I'n mot trying to cut-in, Greengeez, just express an interest for a friend.

I also had a clear-out last year but still have a few items sitting about. I've got two bikes to sort in the next few days so it'll allow me to have a butch...

Tis, suprisingly, difficult, tbh. He does "promotion" for Propaganda nightclub but only gets a few quid out of it.

The Altitude will be a bridge too far for MGO, I'm afraid.

    Lol @ Sean

DK, an On-One will normally be a 27.2 post unless it's the carbon or Ti.

Sorry to be a pedant LG but a Phobia is an irrational fear or dislike of something. :-)
