*edit; Garmin also says 68.6kmph, so Strava is a bit off the mark there...
I used to cross reference Endomondododo with my Strada but I can't ruin my Wilier with cables so now I don't use a 'proper' computer :-(

I did the same - didn't feel too bad a few miles from home so added a bit to my route to have a go at a segment. Now I've uploaded the ride it seems there are several others I was unaware of :-s

Is it wrong to create a segment where you know you've been quick, and thus take the KOM?

It's a bit like shagging a fat bird because you weren't confident enough to potentially be rebuffed by her fit mate, sure you got the shag but do you feel good about yourself?

I see what you're saying, but if I were to take your hypothetical scenario, technically, I wouldn't have actually known that she had a fit mate, so I guess I'm just happy to have got the shag. I don't feel ashamed, well, maybe a little dirty...

She was sat next to her...ok, perhaps you approached from the left the hypothetical fat bird is really quite large, she could have been in the way.

To continue with the dubious sexual analogies I've thought of another

Creating a Strava Segment to get a KOM is like shagging your cousin, it's legal in the UK but you don't tell anyone about it.

And it has an added taboo that just gives you the horn, it's not good to fight those type of feelings, just give in, balls deep, to your cousin. Like you say, who's to know unless you broadcast it :-/

Owning a chain of restaurant in the South-West is a bit of celebrity chef badge pre-requisite to be honest!

I would have thought the acceptability level would very much depend on the gender of the cousin .

The only problem about Strava is watching everybody else's rides mount up while you're sat at home ill and can't ride.
