World Cup Round One - and the winner is...

    Niņo Schurter.......

    ........on a Scott 650b prototype.

So it seems both 26ers & 29ers are old news.

    Here

When are you boys gonna learn that there's no panacea in the world of off-road cycling. It's been mused on more than one occasion - the bike matters not...

Just watched the race, brilliant coverage. Red Bull are doing an ace job. Just shows that, if filmed well, cross-country racing is exciting and thrilling to watch. Just need a top British rider capable of finishing top ten to bring it to the attention of a wider audience

Annie last came in the top 10 at round 1 IIRC? Then a top 15 and top 20?

You mean like the general public or other people interested in cycling?

    Two problems there.

    1. General public. We have one of the favourites for the TdF this year in Bradley Wiggins. He has currently won Paris Nice & Tour de Romandie, something thats not been done since 20 years. Did it make the general news, nah.

    2. Get rid of the "goon" culture on the front of MTB magazines and their content too. Kids are picking these magazines up, seeing someone wearing a rucksack full if sh!t wearing baggy shorts going down hill. When was the last time you saw a photo of someone wearing lycra going up hill in a mazgine?

I was at Dalby in the NPS and it was rather amusing seeing people come out of Dixons Hollow is bemusment at all the lycra clad skinnies going for it.
