I still can't decide whether I want a road bike or not. WTF is wrong with me, it's a bike isn't it?

Still going to flog the 456 to fund it? MGO might be interested in the frame...

Stop doubting yourself Nobby. Of course you want one. Don't listen to the Voices.

Not sure - got someone who'll give me 400 for the bike as it stands but I'd rather keep it (Nobby Jr bought me the frame).

I just don't think I'll use it. The 'classic' in my garage is 30 years old this summer and, tyres aside, is still on it's original kit.

I thought I wouldn't use mine much. I've been out on it at least once a week ever since.

When Le Tour happens, you'll get tour fever and wish you had one.

No I won't - I'll see all the (even) fat(ter than me) w4nkers out round here riding slower than I do on my mtb and making a good case for the wearing of lycra to be made illegal.

I find the beauty of being able to put some not inconsiderable miles in over the space of an hour or so has been a godsend. No bike cleaning, the odd spot of oil and the fact if my missus gives me a 3hour ride pass I can get in 75k...on a mountain bike about 1hour of that would be taken up just getting the bike to a from the trails alone!

This is the best summary of the lot. Door to door riding and no cleaning / faffing.

This weekend will be my first ride in months. Consultant gave me the go ahead for a ride. Gonna ease into a 10ml loop

No problem. Did I mention I'm going for a long ride in the country tomorrow. Just me, a sunny day, the calming whir of a free hub/cassette and some spectacular country views.

    Gotta love road biking...

Hmm. Despite being sunny, The MET office says my ride will start at 4 degrees and end at 10 degrees.

    Shorts or Longs*?

*Don't say leg warmers, I don't have any.
