So I've noticed you've starting riding flat loops lately. Or have they built a velodrome in hull?

Just trying to start some positive discussion, no worries, I'll take it elsewhere.

Crikey, someone's got the painters in.

Just keep the thread going and don't be an arse. They'll be plenty of roadie talk come from me at least over the next few months.

Was a good omen starting this thread anways, as ten minutes afterwards the lbs called to say that my Madone was ready to pick up! I wasn't expecting it till March 12th so I am a very happy bunny.
Can't tide it today though, off to Whitby, laters...

I shall be off on the roadie as soon as the coffee has taken effect and I magically become a couple of pounds lighter :-)

First "big" roadie ride of the season yesterday.

Jumped from irregular 30 mile flat fixie sessions to 52 miles with over 8000ft climbing. It hurt! massive headwind on the way out meant an average speed of 12.8mph.

It was lovely to be back on the Scutura though and have gears to get up the hills.

Cav is racing one of the cobbled classics in Belgium today I think.

I must get out on the roadie, gone from comfortably doing 60+ miles to an uncomfortable 15.

    :-(

I can't compare to Assos Alx but my castelli bibs are XL and tight on me on the shoulder straps when standing, ok on the bike, and tight but not uncomfortably so in the legs (kinda compression shorts tight) . As you know I'm shorter than you.

I also have castellis in XL and they are perfect for me, never tried Assoss, too pricey.

Another win for Cav I see.

Just fitting my cleats for the new bike, gone for some Time pedals which is a first for me. I was suckered into buying them from a guy in the lbs, he better be right about how good they are, they were very lightweight which swayed me too.

They're good, you can even walk on the cleats without looking like Bambi on ice.
