    BM month of 29ers

Throughout February we’ll be focusing on 29ers, bringing you a comprehensive digest of the hottest bikes set to compete for your attention this year. We’ll also be speaking to industry insiders, bike designers, bike shop owners and readers to get a handle on the growing momentum pushing 29ers into the fore of every mountain bikers mind.

Here's our first offering in our daily 29er showcase.

    And discuss...

    What he said.

Let's face it, if there was a clown bike with a front mudguard on it BM towers would cream itself.

Neil Helks has one, but you'll need a boat.

Don't worry, more normal service will be resumed in March - in fact I've already got plenty of 26in bike tests lined up (Cannondale Jekyll, Orange Five, Kinesis, Intense and some more)

I just wanted to wrap up all the 29er content under one banner for a month, giving Bikemagic a focus for the 29 days. I want it to be the most comprehensive guide to 29ers that are currently available.

And here's the second daily showcase, Cannondale's Scalpel 29er

I've been testing one for a while actually LG, did the last two Gorrick races on it actually. Really impressed with it so far, from a fast and head down point of view

I should imagine the view will be limited if you've got your head down. *arf*
Love my 26" wheeled Spark (40) - it's a great short travel F/S and is much more capable, as a trail bike, than I ever imagined.

Maybe just maybe, as frames change size and cranks and bars to suit your size, maybe wheels ?

Be sure to do the pivot bolts up twice a day David, and schedule in 6 months of shock setup time before you ride it.

Its a common Intense FS owners issue not yet recongnised as fixed until we get Tracer 2 owners feedback.

Use google, instead of randomly throwing uneducated insults perhaps.

Don't suppose there is going to a be a test of the Cannondale 29er HT with the SAVE seat stays or something similar, claims good comfort, I like the idea of a HT with a bit of actual rear comfort.

I've got one of those with the SAVE chainstays and don't think it makes any noticeable difference . Mind you mine has a 30.6 seatpost , the Flash models have a 27.2 which might give a little more flex, especially if you're a fat bastard . My wife also has aTrail 29er with a thudbuster seatpost , what a great piece of kit that is .
