    Twentyfour12 2012

    Anyone fance entering a team in the 24 hr 'shits & giggles' category?

    Open to teams of 6 to 10 riders - always a great event, chilled atmosphere and what is reputed as the best course of all the 24hr events.

    Could be interested - no matter how much I'm trying to work out a plan for doing the 24 solo again it's just not going to work with the event being in term-time and not being able to take the friday and following monday off. Will let you know asap.

    Go for it - I can't imagine you'd be comfortable in a non-competitive category anyway

    Ok, I'm in if we get this sorted. Means I'll be able to bring junior along for the weekend and he can have a go at the kids race (if it's running this year). That's assuming someone will be kind enough to keep an eye on him while I'm on a lap

    That would be dangerous. He's already developed a fascination with the stuff even though I've not allowed him even a sip yet.

    Hmmm, might well be interested.
    Does it still include that narrow path that's cut into the rock? I was watching the event 20 odd years ago and cut my arm sufficiently badly that after 6 hours bleeding I had to go to casualty - God knows what it would do at 'racing' pace

    Discussed this with Bullet earlier as we finally managed to get out for a ride together. He's up for it, I am & possibly you two so that's the making of a team - our original intention was a 'just for fun' effort so we could have a couple more if anyone else fancies a weekend of beer, biking, beer, food, beer & insomnia.

    Hmm, I'm thinking about going down, but not sure you'd want me in your team, I would probably take about 12 hours to do one lap.

    I checked with the boss, count me in for the team. For reference:

    Burgers = medium rare
    Beer = Stella.
