Right! Some 4* hotel in Menorca, which doesn't allow kids, cos Lady G liked Menorca on our only previous visit. From here we'll plan our visit to Dr FGO1, in Africa, in October...
FGO1 got stampeded by a herd of Wildebeest t'other day - they got spooked by a thunder storm, apparently, so she had to take refuge in a tree! *nutter*

A bit harsh that. I thought we were invited.

Hotel Bastion is very nice during the summer months. 3 'All you can stomach' eating facilities, helicopter rides for the kids, a shooting gallery and long walks along drainage ditches. What more could you ask for.....

Do they cater for pets? If not, then I'm not going.

Take your bike, or at least hire one. If you want any details let me know. There is an ened to end MTB ride and the road stuff is really good.

They allow dogs there, or as we like to call them, "Land Sharks".....

You can't get much quieter than The Gambia. We went there for Honeymoon and it was certainly an um.. eye opener.

There are some amazing (but very remote) hotels too, if you want to stay on-site for a week or two and not see the real country.

A fascinating place, but not for everyone. Oh and it helps if you quite like powercuts.
