Just had a look at the BBC rainfall radar ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/radar_06.shtml ) and as of 2PM there was heavy snow over Scotland and a handful of showers just off the coast of NE England and down into Norfolk. Nothing to be seen close to London.

Bucks: Lots of ominous looking clouds but no snow. Feet are getting colder tho.....that'll probably be due to the fact that I'm sat on my arse thinking about lighting a fire and not actually doing it.

read in the local press, it's not likely to reach below 0 here, as the sea's too warm: (

Cloudy with blue bits here in Eastbourne, I shall be going out shortly and having strong words with the weather. By the end of our conversation it will understand that I want at least a foot of snow on the South Downs and if not there will be hell to pay.

No snow yetDistructoYep our area's Weather is completely fcuked there was 4 of snow in Hull just before Christmas and in Goole 20 miles by road (probalbly 10 miles as the crow flies) away there was Nothing there was a light dusting between Gilberdike and Hessle on the Way to Hull On the M62. I think its down to the Power stations such as Drax, Ferry, and Eggbourgh, which keeps the area snow free and a couple of degs warmer if the wind comes from the East and Driffield gets it we normally get it bad"

Dave Carlson
28-01-04, 12:57
Just in case anyone thinks the snow's stopping, think again. Just drove down to my Mum's, to drop a couple of things off, and kinda struggled a bit more than I expected. Two minutes down the road I hit what could only be described as a white-out. All I could see was a big sheet of white approaching. a minute later, the roads were covered, and everyone was driving 2mph. My parents live on a hill, so I had to abandon the car at the bottom of the street and walk the rest of the way. By the time I got back home half an hour after I left, we had an extra couple of inches of fluffy powder.
